A tough moment today… in a school observing two drama workshop leaders from the Donmar. One of them told the year eight group, that I had been their university teacher before any of drama class were even born! I now feel very very old!

Have been spending time in schools with year 8 & 9 students with fantastic workshop leaders from @donmarwarehouse.bsky.social as part of a Donmar Local project. It has been an utter joy to see young people throwing themselves in to drama, doing critical thinking & having fun.

Just spent a glorious morning with the folks from the Donmar Local’s fabulous artistic team for an R&D session. Thinking about ‘bringing the joy’, theatre in schools, devising with young people and climate change

It was graduation day for Central’s class of 2024 this week. It was utterly gorgeous to see those who made it for the ceremony. Excellent speeches from Cush Jumbo and our principal Josette Bushell-Mingo and lovely to spend time with my wonderful colleagues at the Royal Festival Hall.

On Monday it was win, win. The MA Applied Theatre @cssdlondon students were thinking about combining digital technology & drama teaching with @candttheatre.bsky.social and then @paulsutton.bsky.social and I had time do some plotting for new projects. A great start to the week!
