People are missing the point of the Trump tariff fest. The tariffs are not aimed at reindustrializing the US. They are designed to wreck globalization. And they are likely to succeed at that.

The South Korean crisis will likely end with the president impeached and maybe arrested. But it will show Trump how to handle the opposition in his never-ending term, and he would likely get away with it... if nothing happens before Jan 20, of course.
