You might consider removing 'have to' and take out any emotion on that first line. Then it would just be a factual statement and would leave the question 'how does she feel about this?' Happy, relieved, sad, angry?
Then put all of the emotional impact into a subsequent line or paragraph.

I agree. That's why she's the MC and hero of the story. But I do love Kenneth's point of view.

Love the colour gradient on your moodboard! Perfect with the wording of your pitch.

I'm Sarah from the UK. Avid reader of SFF and I've been writing since high school. It was a main hobbies but in more recent years I've taken it further and have a MA in Creative Writing.

I sell minerals (fossils crystals etc) online while hanging out with my 3 cats, and around school-runs.

Learning to write. The first (terrible) story I remember writing was in Year 6 (UK). We were just told to write a short story. Most wrote 1-2 pages; I filled a exercise book.

Writing (and reading) ever since. It's just part of what I am.

I try not to do resolutions as I think they set me up to fail. But to query more than last year (not hard that one) and to keep on writing - aiming for nearly everyday.
