Relate so much to that. Moving and finding community made my transition SO much better but anxiety and logistical stress dragged that process out and triggered all my worst freeze responses. It's terrifying but you've got this Kaye and you deserve all the good it will bring you on the other side!!

I wouldn't trade these moments for the world. My mom helping me take care of myself and the women in my family giving advice. I lost so much time in my life but now I get a little of that back - these quiet moments when I get to feel normal. Whatever happens next I know I made the right choice.

My situation is not universal but im so glad I had patience early on with some family adjusting as long as they accepted and welcomed me. Lots of lil frustrations along the way but I see them try. I see their prejudices erode. Not everyone is lost in baseless hate, but always protect yourself first.
