Don't know why but I read this headline and thought someone had found Adrian Chiles while decluttering.

Surely Norway should have the gold medal with their 95%

Range anxiety was a real issue when getting my first EV. 'We need enough for visiting family at Christmas and going on holiday in summer' but the rest of the year only drive about 20 miles a day on average 🙄. Knowing what I know now I might have gone for LESS range with faster charging capability.

It's his decision making not just goals and assists.

If he made better decisions with the ball then goals and assists would come naturally.

I think he's got the work rate and good technical ability but you have to start to wonder whether it will ever 'click' based on what we've seen so far

That's only something like 2 steps for him #lufc

Imagine how far on with renewables/EVs/heat pumps we would be in the UK without all the lobbying, subsidies, right wing press etc. that are in favour of fossil fuels.

Other countries are leading the way and it's so disappointing we're not the innovators.

The problem is that in an election, with the way things are heading, there could be an almost even Labour, Greens, Lib Dem split (and possibly add in Corbyn's party in addition) Vs a 90/10 reform/Cons split which would likely see a Reform government.

How can we stop this?

The most disappointing thing is it just feels like such a missed opportunity. We just needed to sign a couple quality forwards (including a set piece taker) after a good start to the window and the season would have been much more comfortable.

Just seemed to be so weak in the 2nd half of window.

Won the championship twice, 9th place PL finish and 2x top 3 finish in championship while he was at the club. His arrival (along with Bielsa of course) coincided with the start of an upward trajectory for the club. Also a class act off the pitch, he deserves a big send off! #lufc

Schmidt is a great example of this, last season was "what has Schmidt done wrong to not get any minutes? He deserves a chance".

Then he got minutes in preseason and everyone agreed he wasn't good enough.

I'm sure Farke isn't ignoring Ramazani for fun. The only issue is we need a game changer!

Another version of FSD that still isn't full self driving?

By increasing the prices they're simultaneously increasing their profits and giving us less disposable income to spend on nights out. Then when we can't eat/drink out afford takeaways, our supermarket spending increases again!
August 22, 2025 at 11:32 AM
I wonder if it's a tactic of supermarkets to increase prices of food and alcohol etc. as high as they can but still ensure it's cheaper than restaurants & pubs. Then people spend more on a food shop so can't afford to go out so stay in and then buy more alcohol & food from the supermarket instead

This is exactly my thinking! With Nmecha and DCL it should have been one or the other. I was thinking we'd sign a more marquee striker then and have a Nmecha/DCL as a back up along with Piroe. It doesn't make sense to have both unless they think one is going to be the main man (which is worrying!)

Fair enough, we just use intelligent octopus (EV saver) and get 6p per kwh overnight so it equates to less than 2p per mile.

I just presumed that with solar you'd be able to get a lot free and bring it down further.
July 8, 2025 at 9:29 PM
Surely cost per mile is less than 2p?

Ours is less and we don't have solar!

I feel like this will look like a good deal for people who don't own EVs but just doing a quick comparison, you can lease a Dacia Spring for 4 years based on 12000 miles, charge it, install at charger etc. and it works out less than £250 per month.

They must have put the price up in Manchester because they're scared they'll lose fans to a real club!
