I really respect how the direction on my current project is prioritizing exploration and discovery over the usual AAA approach of telling players exactly what to do at all times.

It's okay if some players experience momentary unknowns while progressing through the game. It's part of the fun!

Publishers believe you, but they think 1M players is rookie numbers. They need games that sell 20M copies on launch to satisfy their shareholders. The line must go up.

Speculators are fickle with their money. They put it in, they take it out. They don't care about the long-term health of this industry. They don't understand the difference between a veteran team and a new team composed of veterans. They don't understand how games are made or what games even are.

My knowledge isn't super up to date regarding specific models, but my current machine's been doing great. It's a Janome HD.

I chose it because it was low-tech (no screen or electronics likely to break or get surprise ads in a software update) and because it came in all black.

Then you'll definitely need denim needles for your machine, but you can change those on any commercial model.
