It's going to get even worse in states like Alabama that don't have a lottery funding their education. We get a LOT of Title 1 funding from the feds. Schools will close here and all the redhats will be screwed even harder. I'm homeschooling, but I used to be a teacher and can afford to stay home.

Departments are losing staff in large numbers, creating further instability. Every day, we face the uncertainty of whether it will be our last on the job. Many of us have families to support, and the stress extends to them as well.
