DM me if you want, or not. I don't give a flying shit either way
Just watched BBC news describe the Chancellor as "hurtling towards the budget." It's changed my attitude towards a simple understanding of the progress of time. From now I'll be careening towards the weekend, bowling towards a week on Monday and galloping towards Christmas.

On the BBC controversy, I've got nothing much to say other than an exec resigning before being forced out has really thrown a lot of people.

I'll join the acclaim, albeit muted in my case, for Pluribus. Only 2 episodes in and it seems thoughtful, questioning and funny. Defo in for Ep 3.
On a side note, like Gilligan's other Alberque series it has me wondering about the MN climate. Always sunny but seasonal sounds about perfect.

The tech driven imperative to screw up your entire life by leaving your phone in Starbucks continues apace.
Ford wants you to stash it in your belt buckle, but there’s absolutely no need to be lugging around a bulky fob. Trouble is, phone-as-a-key tech could be superseded before it even gets going. www.wired.com/story/why-ar...

A new day for the US? A search through my photo archive says yes.

The stroganoff I made for mam's tea was extraordinarily good. Chuck Berry playing went down well too. Sang Route 66 and Carol word perfect, even Mick Jagger didn't manage that. Maybelline though, every line answered as if it were she. "Maybelline, why can't you be true?""I AM TRUE!"

I have zero respect for anyone who denies the moon landings anywhere outside of Buzz Aldrins reach. He's 95 but imagine he can still pack a punch. Take your medicine you pricks.

Fuck your plastic skeletons and pumpkins. As a kid we moved to a Lancashire villige and encountered guising. The local kids, dressed in rags, coal dust on faces carrying brooms, swept away the evil spirits while humming tunelessly. Frightened the living bejesus out of us all. Full Wickerman vibes.

A continuing trip through the lesser visited nooks of my archive. This is the flywheel ofa steam engine that powered Firgrove cotton mill in Rochdale. The mill produced flannelette and the engine remained in use until 1970. From the Science and Industry Museum, Manchester.

United up for 3 wins in a row. Unprecedented in the modern game. A 1-0 win puts us in 4th, 13-0 and we leapfrog City into 3rd. These possibilities can only be the result of witchcraft or corruption.

Happy to see the Reform wankers who set up their little canvassing gazebo in town this morning have fucked off, hopefully to try out my suggestion of where to put their grubby leaflets.

Alain Gitanes plays Jacques Shaggre, legendary detective in the new Louvre heist movie L'Échelle. Shaggre's unorthodox investigation sees him stroll around the criminal underworld of Paris in a disinterested manner, bed suspects wives and engage in postcoital angst on the nature of power and wealth.

I've failed to prepare an annoying piece of junk and arrange for its removal for over 4 weeks now. It's a remarkable achievement given just how inconvenient it is to have around the place. Instead of doing it today I'm staring at it and sharing the experience on social media.

Photography isn't playing a part in my life at the mo. Life is manic rn and that isn't changing in the short term. It's annoying bc I feel it's calm helps my mental state but whaddayagonnado? Anyway, a couple of old pics popped up this morning.

When I was 18 I popped into a video booth in a sex shop after a hard day at the Oktoberfest (like you do) and discovered the Germans had done something to sex that's very similar to what they've just done to ketchup

I have been traveling and today I present to you...the thing I saw in the Frankfurt airport.

Is it efficient? Undeniably. Does it probably work better than the normal way? Oh certainly. Produce less of a mess? Probably?

But the existence of Condiment Udders gives me a deep, aghast disquiet.

Just woke from a dream about playing an impromptu game of tennis in a forest. I'm fine and probably not in need of any type of intervention at all.
