The fact that the actors have all aged or died also necessitated a different direction. The legends books gave us more of the characters we already loved, where the movies had to choose to either recast those characters, or introduce new ones. Why wouldn’t we prefer stories where what they fought

I think it’s because the Thrawn series made a much better follow-up to the original. I don’t feel any ownership; but I read those books when they came out, and the storytelling is just BETTER. I love Rey, but her story isn’t as well plotted. And besides, Mara Jade was also fucking awesome.

Pointing out that Christians have fucked up a lot is not fear. Fear is being unable to admit that your religion has encouraged and tolerated a ton of crimes against humanity. Which is especially egregious given the Christian tendency to believe they have the right to police morality.

That you instead want to argue numbers and blame diseases (which, surprise! were brought to indigenous communities by Christians) is very telling, and very “Christian”, and very fucked up.
