So true 💜

I can feel your positivity - it’s vibrant! #epilepsy can take over a person’s life. We try to encourage my son to be who he wants to be. He’s very intelligent and talented. When he can’t, we advocate for him and encourage him. It’s also good to have close family relationships.

Glad you found someone to help. Sadly, it’s an all too common story. My son’s seizures are often nocturnal but his meds mean they don’t always go generalised (TC). He’s often unconscious for hours after though. But he’s broken a few bones in the past. Best wishes to you. Bless you 💜

MRI clearly showed the focus of his frontal lobe seizures. He suffered years of poor mental health and lost his job through sickness absence - worked for the NHS (UK) too 😟. Is hoping to find work again once changes of meds have settled in. 💜

Thanks. We had to push for a diagnosis at age 27 when things just didn’t add up. Took 4 years including during COVID. Until one consultant in Intensive Care agreed with me and organised some tests. Wishing you well too 💜

My son does. We call it ‘og’ (one of the words he used in an email to work!). When he texts me I can tell if he’s headed for, is having or has had a seizure. Pre seizure his texts are meandering and long.

😔 that’s so sad. I hope your memory comes back after a while. It must be so hard for you all. Keep positive and I’m sure you all will spread awareness #epilepsyawarenes
Epilepsy is sooo not just about seizures 💜

We can empathise with you there. Post TC some people do bizarre things. My son came to only to discover he had poured some soup into a drawer. He had no recollection of doing it. #epilepsy is so disorientating and can be scary for the person 💜

I wish medics would look beyond the physical symptoms. My son was admitted to hospital post TC and they assumed he was drunk. When I insisted they test blood alcohol - surprise, surprise, it was negative! It took over 4 years to get his dx. After much fighting from us… don’t ever give up 💜
