The Human Rights Council must act with clarity and urgency and condemn Israel’s genocide, and call on all states to fulfil their legal obligations. This requires a full arms, trade, and cultural embargo on Israel, and concrete steps to end impunity for these crimes."

Our action is rooted in the failure of states to stop the humanitarian catastrophe created by Israel and to end the genocide. Under international humanitarian law, our governments must protect us from any attack on the flotilla.

At #HRC60 Carrie Shelver, coordinator of the SRI Geneva office, presented via video a statement recorded earlier this week. Carrie is currently with the Waves of Freedom delegation of the Global Sumud Flotilla. As of this morning, her vessel, the Wahoo, has been assumed to have been intercepted.

Great article, listing almost all the ways Europe is failing its own values, but fails to mention the influence of the private sector in European politics, causing it to move away from climate and labour rights ambitions.
