It is though. I live on 30th. There has been a huge influx of Spanish speakers in my neighborhood. All along Frisby and the end of 30th near Greenmount is primarily Spanish speaking now. According to a Church official I spoke to, mostly Guatemalan and Honduran.

(Recommended even if they are forthcoming with answers because trust but verify)

The answer is $15 full plasmid sequencing. Actually I think Eurofins dropped to $12.

I use www.ptglab.com/products/RFP...

Stays bright if you FISH after IF, too.

Vector with mutant 16S rRNA under a T7 promoter for in vitro transcription. My poor lab mate fought that battle.

Yes. I use presents. I don’t engage but I do bring gifts. I think it confuses the person but they just think I’m pathologically reserved.

I used to teach a course in the molecular biology of aging. At the end of each semester I’d introduce the ideas of Aubrey de Grey and let the class discuss whether, based on all they’d learned over the semester, they found his ideas credible. Each semester the student said, “lmao, no.”

I think we are currently getting storm surge from Erin. Water has been abnormally high the past few days. (The dock where I row has been flooded which is a rare occurrence)

I watched Fist of the North Star late one evening with a bunch of fellow IT nerds, projected in the fancy impress-the-customers meeting room at Netscape, like 1997? It was quite an experience.

Nvm they are there now. 😑

I feel like I expected presence in Union Station or the metro. As you say, nothing. It’s really just a performance for cameras.

Now: The liquid nitrogen tanks that are so big that they have steps.

Back in the day: an autoclave that was simply a drum with piped in steam from the campus steam system, controlled by garden hose style spigots. For fast release you opened the spigot that vented the steam into the room and ran.

Oh man when I TAed in the oughts the entire cell biology lab was looking in a scope and drawing what they saw. The kids who could draw did well, and the ones that couldn’t, didn’t. The instructor swore it was about observation not artistic skill but that was a dirty lie.

Oh my lord you are right. I knew about Hermes saddles but I didn’t know Gucci makes them too!

I only went to Livermore for the rodeo!

I got to see Chance, I had no idea that was a million dollar experience! (Bat dogs should be standard.)

Yeah, my friend was on the 3:40, said she has a nightmare where it feels like she’s been on the train for an hour and then they announce “first stop, New Carrollton!” She said today the nightmare was real!

The 430 will be about 50 minutes late arriving at Baltimore Penn

They kept telling us they were going to be speeding up momentarily. Now at West Baltimore and still crawling along.

I shamed Joe Montana into riding his horse without stirrups.

Man I ran the Usenet server at Netscape. And I lived on rec.equestrian.

Yeah my daughter lives in Metallica shirts. It is a special feeling to see the youth ironically rep bands I loved sincerely.

Bike ride to ice cream has been effective for me. Or a visit to Hot Topic if that’s her jam. 🙃

This is so upsetting. But brilliant to include her data! It’s so beautiful. And the former germ cell scientist in me loves that they used a seminiferous tubule for the header. Have always thought testes are just about the most beautiful things under a scope

Yeah, similar situation. We allegedly can get a new telework agreement that allows for ad hoc telework as long as it isn’t on a regular basis. But I don’t know anyone who has done it. Today would definitely be the day to have it.

Man that’s really it isn’t it. Like in 2021 it was a fun little treat when they won. Now even the wins feel kind of sad.
