The ordering of the questions in the survey was deliberate so that the subsequent response would validate/invalidate the previous response. That led us to believe that motivated reasoning might be at play, influencing a sample of highly educated and rational individuals.

The ordering of the questions in the survey was deliberate so that the subsequent response would validate/invalidate the previous response. That led us to believe that motivated reasoning might be at play, influencing a sample of highly educated and rational individuals.
Approximately 2/3 of the leaders interviewed reported using the EQUATOR checklist appropriately in their recent research. However, within the «SAME» sample, only 1/2 were aware of the EQUATOR Initiative. Weird, huh? 🫧🐠🪸

Meaning that, although clinical practice seems to be moving towards patient involvement in medical decision-making, we may not be allowing patients access to the scientific knowledge that should inform said decision-making by imposing language barriers to access said information.
