I received my B.S. in Psychology from Colorado State University and my M.S. in Applied Psychology from Portland State University. I'm a PhD Student in Community Psychology, focusing on Latino immigrant family well-being - body, mind, and spirit.

¡Hola! I'm a proud daughter of Mexican immigrants. I was born in Denver, Colorado & live in Portland, Oregon. I'm kept humble by my 4 rambunctious siblings, 2 nieces, and a nephew.

I received my B.A. in Psychology from Portland State University (PSU). I'm in my second year in the Master of Social Work (MSW) program at PSU.

My passion is to serve my community, challenge systemic oppression, and move forward toward liberation.

Saludos! My name is Juana Garcia, and I'm proud to be Mexicana-Mixteca Ñuu Savi. I was born in Oaxaca, Mexico, and have lived in Oregon for more than 25 years. I'm a proud parent of two young adults. In my free time, I like to hike, be in nature, and spend time with my two dogs.

My research journey began during my undergraduate studies as a Research Assistant with migrant farmworker research. I hope to be a resource for my community and empower them to share their stories of resilience.

Hi! my name is julissa Castellanos Regalado and I am a proud first generation Latina. I graduated with my Bachelors in Psychology in 2022.

My career goals are to serve my community in a way that is empowering and nourishing for every person and being through the perspective of social justice

I graduated from Portland State University with a bachelors in psychology in 2024 and will continue my education in a graduate program at Pacific University in the fall.

I was raised in a little coastal town in Oregon called Astoria and it’s been my home for over 25 years. There I learned to love being in nature and living in community with people from all different backgrounds and cultures.

In my free time, I enjoy exploring, listening to music, and spending time in nature. I'm excited to be a part of this wonderful and dedicated team.

My name is Maryfer Ortiz and I am a 4th yr psych major with a neuroscience minor at Portland State, expecting to graduate Spring of 2025.

I was born in Morelia, Michoacán and proudly identify as Latina. My research interests focus on expanding studies within immigrant and Latine communities.
