Love when I find a Regency resource to share here: @paulmelloncentr.bsky.social has compiled a detailed history of the Royal Academy summer exhibitions, one of the standard entertainments of the London season. Here's the entry for 1812: chronicle250.com/1812#catalogue

Just confirmed, using the Atlantic's database, that Meta has allegedly pirated all of my books to train their AI models via LibGen. If you're an author, you can search for your books here: www.theatlantic.com/technology/a...

A year ago today, I published Reverie & Rancour. A few people had said that they wanted it as an ebook, so I thought, why not? I'm so grateful to those first readers—and to every one of you who gave this story of resentment and forgiveness a shot. Thank you!

How long would your commute take in 1680? Mine would be about a day and a half.

Does anyone know the proper title of this Thomas Rowlandson painting? Wikimedia suggests it's "I shall conquer this," which makes the 1995 Pride & Prejudice script even more delightful. I can't find credible external confirmation.
(Discovered while writing a scene about Darcy's routine in London.)
