Je ne sais pas si c'est vraiment de l'art mais (parfois) j'écris des nouvelles et (de très très rares fois) elles sont publiées dans des revues de SF.

As for fanfics, there is a tag "laundromat AU" on AO3 but I haven’t really explored it. Maybe there are some good laundromat stories hidden in there

Good Evening, Central Laundromat by Jason Heroux: I was not expecting anything when I started that novella, but at the end I found it strangely good. It's short and I think it's worth reading

Angel’s Laundromat by Lucia Berlin: this is the only short story in this list at the moment and I think it’s a pity, because I really like short stories and I really like laundromats and I believe short stories and laundromats belong together

L’Assommoir by Émile Zola: ok so there is nothing automatic about this laundromat since it was written in the XIXth century, but in some way Gervaise’s shop is a laundromat

Third and Oak, The Laundromat by Marsha Norman: I haven’t seen the play, only read it but I really like it. I’ve always liked stories where two strangers meet randomly in the middle of the night and talk while everyone is sleeping. This play is that kind of story + it’s happening at a laundromat

Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World by Haruki Murakami : it’s really good, it’s the novel that has introduced me to laundromat scenes in books (2/...)
