On January 31, 2001, Sega announced the discontinuation of the Dreamcast, marking the end of its 18-year run in the console market.

The final official Dreamcast game, Karous, was released in Japan on March 8, 2007, six years after the console’s discontinuation.

The Sega Mega Jet was initially designed for Japan Airlines flights in 1993, allowing people to play Mega Drive games on a plane. Unlike typical handhelds, it lacked a built-in screen and required connection to a screen, making it a hybrid between portable and home consoles.

Jet Set Radio was among the first games to feature cel-shaded graphics, giving it a vibrant, cartoon-like aesthetic that set it apart from other games in 2000. Even today, the game still looks beautiful and the soundtrack totally holds up

The Sega Multi-Mega, known as the Genesis CDX in North America, combined the Mega Drive and Mega-CD into a single compact unit. Released in 1994, the Multi-Mega also functioned as a portable CD player, complete with a backlit LCD screen and CD control buttons.

Fun fact! There were 2 mascots before Alex!
Professor Games Hasake and Professor Asobin!

They were prevalent in Game manuals in the SG-1000 (Asobin the Rabbit) and the Master System (Games Hasake, but for a very very short time)
Asobin made cameos in Sonic Mania (JP version) and Sega Hard Girls.
