This is what I've been saying from the start. Combined with his aggressive talk of annexing Canada (and Greenland, and Panama...), Trump's comments on Crimea are about more than just appeasing Putin. He's normalizing territory grabs by force so he can do it himself.

I hesitate to call this good news, because it was insane to cancel the study in the first place. One reprieve among many other funding cuts is still a disaster in the making for science. But even so.

Quebec has always had a weirdly skewed perception of how borders work, going after those with the most ability to leave the province. This isn't the Soviet Union. All this law will do is chase more doctors out of the Quebec.
