that makes sense. I've been debating b/w d3d and vk. I am comfortable with vk but saw PIX and it felt nicer to use than renderdoc. I could just use proton to make my game run on linux. The extensions I use with vk won't run on mac or android anyways. Can't decide if it's worth the switch.
