I haven't read (or seen) Earthsea, so I really need to catch up with that! The only adaptation that I think is actually improving on the source material atm is Wheel of Time, which is doing a pretty good job.

Like, do I think GoT is completely meritless as a TV show? No. Do I think it is an awful, awful adaptation that completely misses the point of the books it tried to adapt? Yes, absolutely.

I don't think it is meritless as a TV programme, but as an *adaptation* of a pre-existing book series, it's one of the worst.

As he's never giving us a book, GRRM is at least required to do a bullet point list in which he clearly outlines JB are not-platonic.
