I live in the woods…in-town! In the last ten minutes I’ve heard both tanagers, barred owls, cheeky Carolina wrens, red bellied, downy, and pileated woodpeckers, and the omnipresent cardinals. I am beyond fortunate.
Beautiful mixed woods. Trees pictured are oak, tulip poplar, liquid amber, Tupelo. It is green, golden and fresh, with incredible blue sky showing through the “sky holes”. I am incredibly fortunate.

Fortunately my peonies have started to bloom. This is an Itoh…variety is ‘Bartzella’. Peony time is short, but glorious.

There are many ways to protest! Autoimmune nonsense prevents me from participating in street protests…but I did get 16 postcards done and mailed to That Man.

Went and found your other stuff. Very nice! I’m painting Valentines for folk; they will be late, but here’s one I sent to my Nephew who attends UC Santa Cruz:
