As a counterpoint, I offer _Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye_ by The Casinos.

It ends with the word, “Goodbye”, like several others, but only accepted after “you love me for a million years”. 😉

My collection also contains the Sound of Music soundtrack, and _So Long, Farewell_ also ends in a similar manner.

A few others:
_Neither One of Us (Want to Be the First to Say Goodbye)_ (Gladys Knight & The Pips)
_Goodbye_ (Mary Hopkins)
_Goodbye Cruel World_ (Pink Floyd)

In the 80s, I was coding a word processor in assembly. Describing the design to my father, a professional writer, he said the insert “option” has to be the default.

Me: “Why?”
Dad: “Trust me.”

I feel like Delphi needed a similar conversation about having cursor position in the undo queue. 😐
