Huh, I never really thought about that, but I can guess how that process was abused. It used to be very common with series like The Hardy Boys. I might have to do some digging on how those were run. My daughter is big on a series with multiple authors writing under one “name” called Warriors.

Thank you, I hadn’t thought to look there. Some good and thoughtful criticism of JB and Canadaland in general that helped me put into words why I have been struggling to like Canadaland and failing for over a year now.

From a player perspective the games were very frustrating. A decent system, but with the angst set to maximum and designed to make it as difficult as possible to use your nifty powers.

I suspect most groups did what we did and dialled the “anti-fun” mechanics back and ran on “rule of cool”.
