Someone explain please. It stands to reason more that Putin has promised Trump a cut (not telling if he will make good on it) if the US stops backing Zelensky. Zelensky is shrewd but how does the Putin-Trump backroom deal for the minerals in the occupied regions benefit Zelensky.

I’m noticing the pattern and pacing too. Every Friday things reach a fevered pitch and then slow down again. It’s the normalization formula - raising our tolerance for the insanity.

I’m going with #2. But it will be toothless. It is likely Putin is in a hurry to end the war with Ukraine for a reason. Trump will require his assistance.

Brazil came very close to the edge and the people woke up. They also had to deal with a misinformation campaign. However they did not have the world's richest men buying candidates.... yet. Elon has an ax to grind with Brazil. It makes me very nervous for them.

I can trace one line of my family back to the colonies. And one to poor Irish jumping ship in the harbor to escape their indenture, another to poor Jews fleeing pograms. I'm a melting pot of reasons why people came here. And I'm so glad America was here for you too. We must fight for it.

I just want to shake him and slap him and say you could have been on the right side of history. You could have done so much good in the world. WTF happened to you? I can't help but wonder why his future legacy, how history will remember him, does not keep him awake all night.

I was just plugging this same question into the robots. It ends badly for the United States either way but at least if there are generals loyal to the constitution it may survive.
