The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet is one of the best books I've read all YEAR. It's about a found family space exploring group and it makes my heart melt so fucking much. It's very, VERY focused on characters, and although it does have a plot (obviously) and there is world building.

Tbh any "suspicious" behavior that charles does can be chaulked up to usual old people activities. Also i have a horrifying feeling that bc of this he's going to be put in the memory care at some point (a man on the inside)
