SHE in Dublin today at the #ElectoralCommission National Election and Democracy Study event. Among gems of research findings was that party loyalty is comparatively low based on #GE2024 data. That leaves scope for new candidates with strong local profile to make breakthrough in #LE2029

Women in Irish local government = 27%. But this is skewed by higher (but not equal!) representation in Dublin & Cork. Rural Ireland has a long way to go yet. #diversity
