Wow yeah, definitely a big direction shift! But so worth it when you can change gears for this one.

Sky Full of Elephants is one I can’t stop recommending to people enough. It is so so so good.

Can confirm it was a good physical read 👌

The Name of the Wind. It is horribly, unnecessarily long, the author cannot write female characters for anything, and it is unbelievable garbage. But seemingly everyone loves it? It has like 700k 5⭐️ reviews

iirc the Brooklyn public library was a big one at the start of the pandemic that offered out of state access, but I haven’t looked lately. Could be one to check and see!

If you haven’t already, look into non-resident or virtual library cards! Some have fees (like I’ve seen $60/yr?) but when considering it as spending money on books and supporting libraries, it might be worth it depending on your budgets 😊

This book is so. good. I recommended it to a friend and when he finished it we debriefed the whole night. Bless the folks at the bar who overheard us 🫣

I’m with you. I finished it, but was just waiting and waiting for it to be over. And then I instantly forgot (and continue to) it until people talk about it, and I wonder if we read entirely different books…

I love stuff like this bc it’s so interesting to see how other people feel about the same books you’ve read! For example, I really liked Pet! And there are several on my TBR that are on your top 3 tiers - I’m curious if we’ll line up there 😆

I just started it yesterday! It took mea little bit to remember all the characters and how they’re special at first, but now I’m reading with confidence 😌
