Eastern prickly pear 😍

Planted some shallots for the first time, let's see how this grows.

Oh wow. My rosemary plant produced flowers for the first time. It's mid-Nov in Ohio. We've had a warm fall and the plants are clearly feeling it.

It always feels so good to stumble upon a community garden. The beauty, creativity, abundance, all of it.

I got to see the northern lights this time.

First onions. Soil is compacted. Will work on that next time. Soil is life.

Grew this from a clipping that I found early on in the pandemic. It's the Eastern Prickly Pear, native to the region.

It's my first year noticing this patch of red poppies. Stunning, impossible to miss. I don't know when and how the poppies came to be. I see them and think of one thing. Palestine. Palestine weighs on my heart each and every day. But seeing the poppies reassures me that yes, Palestine will be free.

Made a trellis with some bamboo that I found. Will be used to grow cukes and bitter melons.
