Big progress in #SierraLeone!

Maternal mortality dropped from 443 to 354 per 100,000 live births between 2020-2023. This brings the country closer to its 2025 target of under 300.

We are proud to support this effort by training midwives in partnership with local health and education institutions.

We were proud to witness the establishment of the first-ever consortium of medical schools in Africa at #MedEdAfrica2025 in Kigali.

The deans of 137 African medical schools signed the agreement - together, they are responsible for graduating doctors who serve 1.5 billion people in Africa.

1,000+ health workers trained as we respond to the outbreak of Sudan Ebola Viral Disease in Uganda.

With our partners we have held in-person and online training sessions for health workers to equip them with essential skills to protect themselves and patients.
