Remember when, in the Drag Race season 3 finale, Raja got a javelin, and Alexis Matteo got a bow and arrow, and then they gave Manila Luzon a *discus*?

Sometimes you want to beat your head on bricks while mumbling, "if it's not intersectional it's not progress" and other times you want to take a long nap.

Why haven't we simply replaced The Electric Slide at celebratory events with Janet Jackson's Someone to Call My Lover get? This is how I know white American society has failed.

Has anyone considered that Trump picked Vance because it looks so much like Pence on a sign?

Something so beautiful and ex-gifted kid coded about texting about the myth of multiculturalism and its contribution to the erasure of distinct cultural identities in liberal circles with your old TAG teacher.

A delightful language mistake with a friend this week, where they assured me they had a third sense for these things.

Man. Dudes who had to email me to ask how to check the weather before a flight are giving me unsolicited advice on my workflow. How do I effectively convey my gratitude.

A not-insignificant amount of my morning has been spent trying to coach the elderly on how to access a digital gift card. My internal reaction is horrifyingly unsympathetic and yet I persist. I should alert the Conclave.

I've been thinking a lot lately about some tell-tale signs of a narcissist, based on my own experience.

There are two big ones:
1) insisting on a deep connection and intimacy between you that doesn't exist and serves to highlight how loving *they* are, as a way to elicit praise and acceptance.

It's such a bummer that "Summer Nights" from Grease is so rapey, because it's such a *bop*.

Is there anything funnier and more white queer in their 30s coded than the Easter email from Food52 with the subject line, "Brunch is risen"?

@griffinmcelroy.bsky.social Y'all were so fantastic tonight in Raleigh! I'm the person in A 132 whose name you got wrong who was too socially awkward to come up once she figured it out. The best part is that this gave me my story for my husband after all! Thanks for a great show, Brothers!

Damn. That hair washing as EMDR realization that your mom hated your loud sad music because it forced her to hear how sad you were and she couldn't control that.

One of the funniest bits in Twin Peaks: The Return is in Part 16. The Mitchum brothers attributing the shootout to the stress people are under these days is great, but the delayed yet hyper-tactical reaction from the FBI agent. Jesus. He's so late and so tactical at once.

One of my favorite things about Twin Peaks The Return is that Lynch and Frost take the time in the first two episodes of the season to establish that The Bang Bang Bar is a *good* fucking bar.

I have determined, by evaluating a combination of factors (including mouth feel experience, taste, best when chilled, obvs) that the two-pack Reese cups are better than the King-size pack. In case you were wondering.

Performed Pink Pony Club at my partner's holiday party so this is a real hoot of a day.

It's kind of magical AND alarming to realize you accidentally forgot to take your Prozac WHILE on the first day of your period WHILE listening to Taylor Swift's "tolerate it" WHILE actively cry-singing.

I have had "sex chaaaange operAtion / i see I see i see" on a loop in my head for what must be days. This movie must be bad in a way I hadn't even imagined.

The cathartic gorgeous vengeful hiss of "you oughta be proud that I'm getting good marks" in Elliott Smith's "Needle in the Hay" is so good and so painful.

The children's book I'm teaching today is straight up body horror and I am INTO it. The Chocolate Touch by Patrick Skene Catling is a hoot.

One of the coolest things about Lorde is that she nailed exactly what it feels like to be 35 and remember adolescence while she was 15.

A fun thing about knowing you're autistic once you're an adult is that you now understand why you loved old sitcoms so much as a child. They tell you when to laugh! It's so helpful in its clarification of subtext!
