Where have you been the last 30 years? The environmental impacts of the agriculture and automotive sectors have been discussed to death. The problem is we are a country that loves food and cars, thus they benefit us. AI data centers don’t seem to provide much benefit to society.

Sure, they can claim whatever they want. However, for what it’s worth these days, there has been no executive order from the White House authorizing their actions. Even if there was, complying with an unlawful order probably isn’t a good legal defense.
