Applied maths. Physics. FreeBSD. C. TeX typesetting. Recumbent cycling. Not religious. Won't eat animals. But usually just trying to not go gentle into that good night.

Why am I a fan of FreeBSD?

1. The great community.

2. The '/etc/rc.d' directory and the '/etc/rc.d file'. I.e., the complete absence of 'systemd'.

3. The Ports system in '/usr/ports'.
