I should probably be more careful with my language.
When I say “morning lark” people are *always* so annoying -
I inadvertently state that they are “people” when perhaps “monsters” would be the correct term.

The gendered aspect of pronouns is already in opposition to their purpose.
If there was a single pronoun that worked regardless of gender or sentience (I.e. applied to all things not just people) — then it would be a better variable placeholder.
E.g. if xe could be used to replace any pronoun […]
