I guess such a wild, crazy idea just proved "Jasper, who did a Cambridge Preparatory Course"'s, very pointed point about how University admissions were a joke and "just anyone" could get in as a result. Good job everything worked out, I guess...

that we should probably do something pretty radical about our economic model or we could find ourselves on the path to Fascism. They didn't have a fucking clue what I was on about and everybody felt very awkward.

My failure is particularly galling looking back, as I can remember pretty clearly the moment when I realised I didn't fit in. Almost exactly 10 years ago in the first module of my History degree, I blew all these kids minds by suggesting

whereas I just felt stupider than I did when I began. he looked around his little office stacked with books, and I forget exactly what he said, but it was along the lines of "I've been doing this for 20 years and I still feel stupid. It's kind of the point."

When I was coming to terms with the fact I'd fucked Uni up, I was telling my Supervisor how I felt like I wasn't supposed to be there and how I felt all these kids seemed to know what they were doing and had learned so much,

Look right, i'm a dumdumb. If "some guy" on the internet can describe the vaulted ideas of esteemed big brains like Walter Benjamin in a way that my ADHD riddled dumdumb brain can understand, the I reckon he probably should have been able to, too. 😁

I actually have a spare SSD just sat in my PC, I should just install an OS on that at have a play with it.
Does the chosen OS have any effect on compatibility within Proton/Steam? Like, are some proven to be easier/have better results than others?
