an assurance that there is something beyond the hundred or so pages of this book... the author lets go of their control over these characters and leaves it upon the readers to think of what happens next, to think of how they will live their lives after having their "happy ending"

at that time, there were a lot of stories aside from aftg that i needed to let go as well (coughs pandora hearts) but reading this quote from nora.... shifted something in my brain... it made me feel that not all endings are supposed to make me feel empty.... because there is ++

finally found what nora said... "neil's life continues but his story is done, and i am happy to just put the pen down and leave him where he is. he can take it from here, and i need to let him go."

this quote actually makes it feel easier to let go and move on after the end

what happened after the author put the pen down. as a reader, i really really appreciate it so much because it's so rare for a shoujo manga to depict the relationships of adults after the characters get married... it's so refreshing yet brings an ache to my chest at the same time

i felt this too after i read aftg when nora said that their story will continue but it's time to put the pen down and let them write their own story. hence, hayaku shitai futari offered a voyeuristic approach about what comes after "the end", letting the readers have a glimpse of
