Wind power has considerable benefits for the Austrian electricity systems but also comes with social and environmental cost. Our new paper (doi.org/10.1016/j.en...) quantifies the local social cost that policy makers attributed to wind turbines in Lower Austria's wind power zoning enacted in 2014.
