It may have already been recommended, but once you play through several hundred times, look into the mod Downfall! You can play as the bosses and it adds a whole new set of cards.

What's the place where you got the western China burgers? Outside of China, I've only ever encountered them in the NYC mini-chain Xian Famous Foods (and they are like the best thing I've ever tasted). Have tried finding them in the Bay and in the Northeast US without luck, would love a tip

Well that made me laugh in bed and woke my wife up

Great, thanks!

Can I ask what they're called, or where'd you find them? I've been using what might be a fishing tackle box and the little divisions for, I think, flies, works well but I've outgrown it.

Mac, thank you for this thoughtful and well-presented thread.

And we are similarly money-poor and brio-rich. Three of us and a dog in 1000 square feet, so I get your struggle

We got an old TV stand/entertainment center on Craigslist or Marketplace for $50 and I added little railings to the edges so stuff doesn't fall off. Found some storage bins that fit in the bays (and still have another basket of track stashed elsewhere). It does help having a spot to build, though.

It is the very finest book ever written and you are not exaggerating.

The edition I love dearly is illustrated by Michael Hague. It was the last book I remember my mom reading to me, when I was way to old to need reading to, because I still loved to hear it as a 12-year-old.

Guess my take is: however bad things are, there are still better and worse outcomes available.

Feels like climate change to me. Like we've lost the fight for 1.5 degrees of warming (bad), but the difference between 3 and 5 degrees is "much suffering is probable" and "guaranteed Mad Max hellscape".

Thanks for this thoughtful reply.

I'm with you on all 3 points. I've been more depressed in the last three weeks than I have in my entire life. I'm trying mightily to move past that and channel my profound sorrow and dread into something like righteous indignation.

Doomer nonsense.

There are better and worse outcomes, even when you're in a shitty position.

If you hate what's happening, act like it. Stop spreading mopey pablum for no reason. We're not your therapist; were your commerades.

Fight! Boycott Tesla!

Trevor, would you play out the better leverage idea for the rest of us?

I'm going to stand in front of the Tesla dealership in Devon, PA tomorrow at 11 am. It will be cold, and inconvenient for me to go out there. I have a 2 year old. But I will be there, because: fuck this coup.

I have a two year old and the forecast calls for snow tomorrow at the closest Tesla dealership to me in King of Prussia, PA. I'm still going to be out there tomorrow.

Join us when and how you can; it's vitally important.

Longtime admirer of your work, NOAA.

I'd hate to think politics could be enfeebling this vital resource.

Apropos of the rolling autocoup in our country, would you please reply to this post using the words "climate change", which NOAA has been observing for decades?
