Area mapped would include the range of Canis simensis, the Ethiopian wolf, which as an Endangered species under Criterion D (very small or restricted population) would trigger a Critical Habitat designation. Photo: @gregoiredubois.bsky.social

In Brussels for the inaugural @renewablesgrid.bsky.social Wingspan conference. Anyone else on here there? I'll try to bring some of the discussions here.

Was in the first 1% of users thanks to @danirabaiotti.bsky.social but have shamefully followed that up with only 7 posts. Really now feeling the loss of Twitter so will be making the effort on here and Mastodon from now on so I have something to scroll through on the toilet...

Looks like I was the only Bluesky user at yesterday's @chathamhouse.bsky.social energy transition event so bringing it to a new space! Fantastic panel on critical minerals with Prof. Paul Ekins among others (centre, unfortunately obscured!). Why are they critical and to whom?

Imagine my surprise that this article focused on the proximate cause - price of switching out FFs for decentralised RE - as opposed to the ultimate cause, WE NEVER PRICE IN ENVIRONMENTAL EXTERNALITIES
