This is my back yard (and in-ground pool) today. The cleared area is my elevated deck (3 ft off the ground). Not so cold, only -18ºC.

Now that social media is fragmenting and individual social networks on each site is smaller, how will people validate their accomplishments, achievements and conspicuous consumption?? How will they ever affirm their “modern individual identity” ???
