Besides the insane versatility it also has something that I now wish all VSTs had. As many sources of randomness (both smooth or per note) as you want. With that you can make very "alive" sounding synths without having some fancy expressive MIDI controller.

I was using Serum for almost everything until the Serum 2 update dropped. Now I use it for everything. My average project really just uses the stock EQ, stock hard clipper, OTT, Ozone and then Serum and SerumFX for the rest. I've even been making my own drums with it. I may be a bit obsessed 😅

Huh, so you get closer to equal temperament when using that base tuning? Does it have something to do with divisibility by the cpu clock speed or something? I'm not well versed in how the sound is actually produced in the end lol
