I'd also impose a taper on the MPs donations. On Universal Credit, any earnings over a small allowance are deducted at a rate of 55p in the pound. So let's link the taper rate in Universal Credit to MPs income from personal donations.

This is why we will not get mass building of social housing any time soon. Real social housing would lower the costs of private rent. If the government won't do it, there must be another way.....

The government currently spends around £16 Billion pounds a year on payment for Housing via UC and HB. Effectively this goes in the pockets of private landlords. Real social housing / Council housing is needed urgently. Would save £16 Billion a year
