Last week, the Santa Ana River Symposium took place at ESRI in Redlands, CA. Mariana, a graduate student in my lab, gave an excellent presentation on our research into the Santa Ana sucker mitochondrial genome. She did an outstanding job!

Also, Vanessa Castro (former student in my lab) did a project with MISS and is presenting her work at SICB. Please show Vanessa some support! #SICB2025

Unfortunately, I will not be at SICB this year. However, I have colleagues presenting work, which I have contributed to the projects, and an REU student presenting our Stichaeid (prickleback fish) gut microbiome work this past summer at FHL. #SICB2025
