The poor strategy is revealed during a business convention in Vegas, the analysis starts to focus on CDS & Mickael Burry had already started to bet against the market --> rewritting the script won't be that expensive

Wow, this is super interesting ! One search (deforestation) returnee the front matter of the aej:a as an article. Maybe these could be filtered out?

We may need Selena Gomes to provide an explanation as clear as the one in The Big Short

A naive question: don't we abandon our copyrights to editors when we publish (e.g. elsevier)? And therefore Elsevier can claim the settlment instead of us?

Des données qui ne seront pas a nettoyer, c'est plutôt pas mal?

This work exemplifies Virunga's approach toward people-centered conservation. Voila voila. All of this is joint work with incredible co-authors. We thank the dedicated field team and our supportive donors. We welcome your thoughts on this first draft!

The people in eastern DRC face immense hardship. Illegal charcoal trafficking isn't central to the conflict dynamics, but it remains part of the complex equation. I'm sharing this draft at a particularly meaningful moment. Virunga, Africa's oldest park, celebrates its centennial on April 21st!

The paper explores much more, including two sub-interventions examining adoption mechanisms, but this thread is already long enough. Notably, a pro-environmental messaging campaign significantly increased technology adoption.

4️⃣Perhaps quite promising for policy makers: we find evidence that power companies can subsidize initial purchases and recover costs through increased electricity sales and carbon finance, requiring just an initial investment rather than ongoing support.

For biodiversity conservation, we quantify potential benefits for gorillas’ quality of life using animal welfare economics. Since deforestation directly threatens their survival, the positive effects are really substantial.

3️⃣ Charcoal consumption falls by 34%, directly reducing deforestation pressure on the park. The climate impact is significant: we abate 1tCO2eq for less than $20 using conservative estimates.
