It's been staring us in the face for a long while now, maybe since the orange emperor descended down the escalator. It just seems to be in bigger font each time something "new" comes up.

Agree with a lot of the sentiments that they're mostly self-contained episodes. I haven't watched it in a long while because brain candy elsewhere but I remember the early seasons stuff being really good and those thing part of cultural zeitgeist. Probably worth watching eventually.
