Gorgeous day for walking in the state parks on Camano Island. My border collie tolerates the slower pace of our walks as I take photos, as long as she can stare at the squirrels periodically.

I hope to be a role model for my daughters and granddaughters the way my mom was for me. A single mom with 4 children who demonstrated humility and service, and who was not afraid to quietly fight for her rights. I am forever grateful she was my mom.

I have a Josey. I work in early childhood programs and each day is stressful. I need my Josey.

We had about 2-3 inches last night on top of yesterday's snowfall. Pretty - but glad I don't have to drive in it. Required to "return to office" (even though I have always only situationally tele-worked) so I am hoping the roads will be better tomorrow. In the meantime, I'll enjoy the views.

Posting a photo from a long time ago - because seeing photos of my border collie from years ago, makes me smile. Trying to find the joy in each day and the opportunities to be grateful, in spite of the evil and hurtful actions of the new administration.

I'm here! This was my lovely Quest who passed away in May 2023. I have a blue merle girlie now who was rehomed to me.

My siblings and I went to Grand Cayman to celebrate the 60th birthday of our youngest brother (who lives there) and the highlight of the trip was swimming and interacting with the stingrays! Wow!
