I don’t think I’ve ever seen a timeout after 57 seconds, lol #LakeShow

My biggest problem with Maher is he tries to normalize Trump. I get that he thinks we shouldn’t cut off relationships over politics - fair enough. But Trump is nothing more than a petty, narcissist dumbass. There’s zero redeeming qualities about him.

A double-double on his return - I think we can put the “Lakers don’t need LeBron” thing to bed. #LakeShow

LeBron already in mid season defensive form, lol. Love the guy, but he doesn’t really guard anyone close, doesn’t want the foul trouble. #LakeShow

At age 51, I’m finally turning into my parents: I’m watching the Ken Burns American Revolution documentary miniseries on PBS, and enjoying it.

Was looking forward to the Lakers game tonight…and now at halftime down 38-70 I might be more interested in organizing my sock drawer.

MSNBC’s rebranding seems odd - every time I see it, I just think, “M Snow?” Sounds like BMW’s forthcoming performance snow plow.

Capitalism is one thing, but a trillion dollar pay package? That’s purely obscene, no one on this planet needs that kind of money.

Watching ‘Skyfall’ tonight, I’ve got a killer Bond origin story in my head. Is Barbara Broccoli taking pitch meetings? Lol #ScriptSky

Never a doubt in my mind, Mariners.

Just kidding - plenty of doubt, but so happy they pulled it off late.

But booing an injured player? Yeah, that’s not cool, no matter who it is. Be better.

Damn, didn’t realize Steph played for the Lakers - wait, that’s Gabe Vincent! #LakeShow

Might have to screen ‘Annie Hall’ tonight in Diane’s honor. Hell, I even like her in ‘Something’s Gotta Give’. #RIP #FilmSky

Woohoo, World Cup tickets!

In a related ask…anyone have a spare $10k laying around? lol

One of my favorite things right now is channeling Walter from ‘The Big Lebowski’ when my cat starts meowing incessantly: “Duuuuuuuude…duuuuude…you’re being very un-dude right now.”

It’s the little things.

I have to agree with Hunter S. Thompson, who basically theorized that if you’re not compelled to write every single day, you’re not a writer. It’s either in the blood or it’s not. I can’t say that’s been my path 100% of the time, but any time I’ve been away it’s felt wrong. #ScriptSky

Locking in to a Q4 first draft deliverable, New Years Eve. The last script took me a year and a half, heh, so three months is a much tighter and real world timeline. Let’s go. #ScriptSky

Group question - do you write for commercial/production appeal, or yourselves (“the story you have to tell”)? #ScriptSky

I gave the news article of Trump talking about deploying the military in democratic cities as training missions to ChatGPT, and it thought it was satire. So that’s not great.

I feel like forcing someone to watch Jets-Dolphins is an effective interrogation technique.

Kind of wild that I’ve been battling sleep issues for the last decade, and finally realized today that my body has been begging me to go to bed earlier and wake up earlier the whole time. So…I guess I’m an early bird now, heh.

That is all.

Can I be a Lions fan? Looks fun.

Fantastic pass by Goff to effectively seal the game (though the TD run sort of makes that moot, heh).

I value free speech. I extend that to people who I don’t agree with. It’s not about if you preferred Kirk’s or Kimmel’s views. If we start curating who we’re allowed to listen to, we end up boxing ourselves in until one day we wake up and realize we’re not allowed to say anything at all.

All the late night hosts should just leave their respective networks and have like a Strike Force Five YouTube channel, where they rotate the desk every night like The Daily Show.
