Strong disagree. If this had actually been about political violence, why no mention of the assassinated democratic state representative, the attempted assassination of the Democratic senator, both of which happened in June — only 3 months ago. The Tyee’s reporting here is strong and factual.

I think it’s really notable that the same day Kirk was killed, there was another mass shoot and there’s been silence on it. To your point, IF this had actually been about political violence, they (and the democratic senator killed earlier this year, and, and) should have been mentioned.

I think the most important point in this article is the one buried at the back: Fox Carney did not run for office. She was not elected. What she closes to do in her time as a private citizen married to a public figure is, for the most part, her prerogative.

They really were. And they remain some of my favourite narratives—so congrats on the 10 year anniversary!

Ten years ago it was the summer my mum was dying; I found these books at the same time. They helped me survive that summer in a way I can’t measure and can barely articulate, and realizing it has been a decade is a bit stunning.

Anyway, thank you for writing them, they mean a lot to me.

A bad take; if a joke for April 1st, in incredibly poor taste. If a serious article, deeply irresponsible to platform and amplify.

Not ever conversation has two sides. This one certainly doesn’t.

I don’t agree; the goal of this cabinet is to manage the transition to the new government, whoever forms it, and after the election it’s a guarantee that we’re see another reshuffle and portfolio reassignment. If WAGE remains subsumed by the Heritage portfolio, then I’ll be concerned.

I expect better from the Tyee.

This is an interim cabinet designed to operate until the election. WAGE has gone nowhere. This headline is fear-mongering of the kind I expect to see from less trusted sources.

Do better. Your readers trust you; live up to that trust.
