Sure, it's possible, but you'd be missing out on the secret sauce that makes it even better! My wife wanted to start at Zeta since it's my personal fav, and she's trying to get into Gundam, so she ended up watching the 0079 movies and then watched Zeta TV. it was better than nothing.
