R.I.P. David Johansen, the last surviving original member of the New York Dolls. After fronting the iconic glam punk band in the early ‘70s, the NYC musician found mainstream success in the late ‘80s, scoring the hit “Hot Hot Hot” as Buster Poindexter and acting in the movie ‘Scrooged.’ He was 75.

A sunflower I grew when the invasion of Ukraine began. I bagged seeds and set them out for neighbors to grow in remembrance of the people who were dying from an unjust invasion. Here is a photo I took in memory of that moment. I will once again grow sunflowers. I will once again bag seeds to share.
