The old man says: “It is dangerous to go alone.” “Take this.”

Link replies: “It will keep me safe?”

The old man responds: “No. There is no safety to be found in a sword. A sword brings death. It does not give life. It is a responsibility. A burden.” “This is no gift.” “It is a curse.”

The only man finishes saying: “I hope one day you will forgive me.” As he rests a hand on Link’s shoulder, the old man has a worn and worried look upon his face. Link looks understanding of the burden he is to carry, looking down with his eyes closed.

Finally gotten around to watching more Castlevania and I gotta say I’ve been loving it!

I only saw the first four episodes when it first came out a while back. The story of the first season especially feels so relevant too 👀

I’m enjoying the direction they went with for the second season so far :D
